Time and Again Fire Los Lunas
(CNN)Mandatory evacuations take been ordered for the area nearly Topanga Canyon due to the Palisades Fire, with more than residents on standby to exit, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The expanse affected, at Topanga State Park in the Santa Monica Mountains, is nearly 20 miles west of downtown Los Angeles. By Sunday afternoon, the burn had burned ane,325 acres and remained at 0% containment, the burn down department said on Twitter.

Both water-dropping helicopters and some 300 firefighters have been fighting the blaze on "steep and rugged terrain," Ortiz said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department planned to send up two helicopters Sunday dark to make h2o drops, it said.
It is difficult to determine the burn down'due south containment because overcast atmospheric condition is making it difficult to wing aircraft over the area, Ortiz said. Rainy weather Dominicus morn helped contain the blaze, but officials expected the pelting to finish by apex local time and burn down activity to ramp up.

It is unclear how many homes or residents are impacted by the mandatory evacuation order. Homes are not currently threatened, according to Ortiz.
"There's a lot of dense, thick material in that location, oily plants that have dried out because of the drought," Ortiz said. "So that's our objective today to try to go along it out of that and protect the communities and neighborhoods that are to the west of this fire because that's what'south closest to it."
No injuries had been reported as of belatedly Saturday, according to the section.
Investigating the 'suspicious start' of the fire
The fire's crusade was deemed to be a "suspicious offset," according to the Los Angeles Fire Section. Investigators are working with the LAPD and the Los Angeles Canton Sheriff's Department (LASD) to identify a suspect and make up one's mind the crusade, Ortiz said.
